I noticed a clip on the BBC programe 'The Day The Troubles Started'. The clip showed a 'civil rights' march, the first one from Coalisland to Dungannon. They were carrying placards. I noticed one mentioned something with Ulster Scots on it. I knew it would be nothing complementry. However,I asked on the BBC Talkback Forum if anybody seen it. One fella said he had it and woud re-run it. Here it is. Here's what it said. Its 'par for the course' But at least shows they knew about Ulster Scots in 1968 Of course that fella could have made this up. He might be 'one of the others'. Re: The Ulster-Scot placard, it read:
"Be With It"
"Be Ulster-Scot"
"Be Racialist"
"Be Unionist"
