Over this past weekend I had the opportunity to visit the Southern Heritage Festival in Washington, Georgia. It was held on the old Callaway Plantation just outside of town. While in the old home, I took this picture which showcased the many men from the family who had been Baptist preachers over the years. I thought it was an interesting testament to the spiritual and cultural nature of the Ulster-Scots settlers of Dixie.

Yes many of the Ulster-Scots Presbyterians became Baptists. In fact I would say most of them did. When Vernon Oxford (singer) from America visited Ulster about 20 years ago he said it reminded him of back home with the Gospel Tent Crusades etc

Ulster Protestants consider themselves to be a separate nation. This nation they call Ulster
