THATS ULSTER

Orange and Blue
Fearless and True
British clear though
That's Ulster

Proud and Defiant
With folks self-reliant,
A Loyalist Giant.
Thats Ulster

Though under attack
Frontal and back
No sign of crack.
That's Ulster

Maligned and Degraded
Her ills over-rated
By those who hate it
That's Ulster

At heart we are meek.
And oft turn the cheek
Only justice we seek
That's Ulster

But driven too far
From donning won't bar
The Red Cloak of war
That's Ulster

No treason engender
But Fight to defend her
Proclaim NO SURRENDER!
That's Ulster

'A WING'

COVENANT DAY

As the colours gleam in the Autumn sheen,
And the old flags fly again,
A September day and a people at bay,
Are recalled by Ulster men

Then in solemn mood all the Province stood
To uphold its way of life,
To maintain its place with the British race
At the risk of mortal strife

From the hamlets small from the factories tall,
For the Covenant poured the flood,
There to set the seal on their earnest zeal,
Some,not in ink,but in blood.

Sir Edward, the loved, who would not be moved,
The fighter and captain of men,
In those shining years led the Volunteers,
And did not lead them in vain

So the Ulster State,now inviolate,
Full measure of homage pays
To the men of Twelve and their firm resolve
In those proud and far off days

All of fifty years with their hopes and fears
Have passed since that Covenant Day;
Let us pledge anew,to our cause be true,
And tread the Ulster way.

Yes RSAUB, I tried to scan and copy the pages as I did with the cover but for some reason it didn't work. I'll type a few more up from time to time. Some of them were dated and a couple of them were from 1967.

OUR ULSTER COVENANT

The day is fast approaching and the hour is drawing nigh,
Republicans are enroaching so cunningly and sly,
But we'll follow in the footsteps of those men so adamant,
And keep the rights our fathers gained and our Ulster Covenant

Let foes of Britain tremble when they think of Ulster's sons
Who never will surrender or flee from rebel guns
We can depend on one another but not in our Government
They have sold out to those that hate us and our Ulster Covenant

Let them think on Gallant Derry's Walls and on Aughrim's plains,
Where crimson blood by valiant hands each valley deeply stained,
Likewise with Enniskillen our ancestors did cement,
And sealed in blood our bill of rights and our Ulster Covenant

Strong men will come to lead us,there'll be no traitors in our rear
The Loyalists of Ulster no danger need they fear,
Our religion is our bulwark and our cause is Heaven-sent
God bless Carson and Graigavon and our Ulster Covenant

by ''THE OLD VOLUNTEER''

''BREATHES THERE A MAN WITH SOUL SO DEAD
WHO NEVER TO HIMSELF HAS SAID
THIS IS MY OWN,MY NATIVE LAND''

ULSTER!!

Yeah and its appropiate seeing as we are getting nearer to Ulster Day.

Another one. Though I didn't know Davy Linton he worked not far from me and was in the OO. Because of the dangers of the time he went out to get the kids of the street where they were playing but the IRA opened up and murdered him

TO THE MEMORY OF BRO DAVID LINTON

The night was clear when the guns opened fire,
And a hail of bullets rained down,
For those IRA murderers were armed to the teeth
As they tried to ravish our town,
They opened fire from Hooker Street,
At the innocent children at play,
And a father went out to protect them,
Was shot, and he died where he lay.

For that man was a true loyal Ulsterman,
And for Ulster he played his pwn part,
But on the 15th of August was murdered,
When the IRA trouble did start,
Those rebels were out to destroy us,
To blind us with popery and fear,
And their bullets struck down David Linton,
And horrified those who were near.

But all you true people of Ulster
Remember the price that's been paid,
By David and others before him,
Who now in the cold earth are laid,
And stand like a man at the ready,
To defend this dear country we love,
To shake off the shackles of popery,
And fight for the freedom we love.

ORANGE OVER THE GREEN

A shamrock green in March is seen,
On its leaves the dewdrops cluster,
What a charming sight in the morning light,
Emerald and diamond lustre

But Oh its leaves are soiled by knaves,
The demoagogue and the prater,
Its pinned on the hat of the rebel rat,
The Bigot and the Traitor.

Not so the Lily, the lovely Orange Lily,
King William's fame gave us the claim,
To wear the Orange Lily.

Written in the Tailor's Shop Crumlin Road Jail when permission was refused to allow an inoffensive bunch of Orange Lilies into a Loyalist 12th July 1971

AN ODE TO 'FRA'
Unheralded Unsung but a noble Ulster Heart

But yet I wish to-day,
That I had genuis great,
With noble words to pay
Fit homage to your fate,
On your red grave to lay
Song that would mock decay

Vain thought! No words you need,
Your gallant tale to tell,
History shall shrine your deed,
For Ulster's sake you fell
Not more you'd ask I know
Than this all men should know. 'HIS FRIEND'
