| The'couldn't care less' attitudes about'minor' things to which Protestants go along with.
Passing a local Presbyterian church I saw on the billboard outside the church '' Coffee and Craic. I noticed too this was in the Orange 12th Booklet just after the Belfast Agreement in an advert for North Belfast Orange Hall Social Night. It also had 'craic'in an advert for the Mountainview Social Club in the Shankill/Woodvale area.
Then we have Sandy Row Rangers Club giving their address as being on the 'Donegal' Road. This one is repeated ad nauseum by other Protestant sources. Reading a book at the minute by a nationalist,he writes of an incident which happened in 'Donegal' Street,Belfast.
Of course we have too,City of Derry Rugby Club,City of Derry Golf Club etc. Now by my reckoning there never was a city called Derry. There may have been an area called that which was mainly rural and with only a monastery. But yes there was a city built and the name it was given was Londonderry. And just to end off with, we now have the same thing happening with the County. More and more its being referred to as County Derry and there never ever was a County Derry. It too was called Londonderry.
Well rant over  But it does bug me to see how easily Protestants will fall into line and do what they are told at the behest of the social engineers.

| Very true, Protestants just haven't got the same genuine belief in their cause, obviously it's different in a lodge room or at a band parade or some-where were we have the old rhetoric going...
In the end game, when we seen how we allowed our recent history to be ignored, Fernhill house in the Shankill being allowed to be run into the ground, instead of our own people supporting it and the C/Valley being allowed to be sold for scrap while lying in the harbour of the most Protestant town in Ulster.
Protestants ar arse-lickers, I have seen countless times Protestants who call Londonderry by it's proper name using the term "Derry" if their happens to be some-one from the other side around and in the work-place basically sit and bash their own community and especially the bands and loyal orders and loyalism in general, just to get on well with the Roman Catholics present, yet I never hear the Roman Catholics bashing the hell out of their own side or making any kind of derogatry comment about their own culture.
In all honesty, when you look at our community now, we don't deserve a home-land of our own and if truth be told if things don't change soon, we won't have won of our own. Well we might have one in Name "Northern Ireland" but it's the people who make the nation and demographics is destiny.
Between our kids now playing GAA and Prods celebrating St Patricks day, not to mention the crap that's happening in the political arena and with demographic changes through-out the Country and the decline of Protestantism the future of our community doesn't look very positive unless we can swing the tide by promoting our own Ulster British heritage and identity and show our community that there is more to us than walking up and down the street with a big drum.

| Well said RSAUB you'e put it in a nutshell. As the man said about 'Conditioning' the Ulster Protestants will have to decide whether Ulster is a nation in its own right (while a nation might not be the correct word)and that it does possess a people and culture different fron the rest of the island. If they answer to this is Yes!then they must be helped to establish their own identity and country. If it is No! then they must be persuaded and conditioned into accepting their lot and be a part of a united ireland. It looks like the latter part of that statement is in play at the moment and there are 'unionists' who are more than willing to go along with it.

| Filthy Lucre as the saying goes. Its hard to think of any on the loyalist side who could be classed as genuine. A few like Willie Frazer but outside of that? The thing is, if it was to swing the other way again and true loyalism became the 'in thing' once more, you can bet that the 'filthy lucre' people would be to the fore,and getting their face in. It seems thats what these people exist for. That is what their life is about. They stop counting at one,and its ALWAYS themselves first. Their principle is...not to have a principle.
